MF DOOM’s estate and Rhymesayers have teamed with Sanford Greene and Collectionzz for a DOOMSDAY capsule that connects the rapper’s visual mythology with comic-book art.
MF DOOM’s latest estate-backed collaboration puts artwork at the center of his legacy. The DOOMSDAY 2026 capsule, launched October 29 through Collectionzz and Gas Drawls, brings illustrator Sanford Greene into a project presented with Rhymesayers Entertainment. It arrived ahead of the annual October 31 celebration honoring Daniel Dumile, the artist behind the metal mask.
Greene’s concept focuses on reflection rather than simply an action pose: in the official announcement, he describes a king looking back on his journey and receiving appreciation. That approach comes from an illustrator whose credits span Marvel, DC, Dark Horse and Image. Collectionzz’s introduction highlights his work on Power Man and Iron Fist and Black Panther, alongside the Harlem Renaissance-set fantasy Bitter Root. His experience building those character-driven worlds gives the DOOM collaboration a clear connection to comic-book storytelling.
The announced range extends the artwork across posters, trading cards, skateboard decks and apparel. Those different objects give the same visual concept several settings, from a framed print to clothing and skate culture. The official MF DOOM promotional video below introduced the collaboration ahead of its October 29 launch.
The current collection page lists several print and skate-deck editions, including silver, rainbow, red-and-gold and green-and-silver foil variations. Limited prints are listed in editions of 250, while the skateboard decks are listed in editions of 150. The trading-card offering uses a blind-bag format. These are distinct collectible versions, not different music releases, and availability varies by item.
In an interview accompanying the release, Greene traces his introduction to the artist back to KMD’s appearance on 3rd Bass’ “The Gas Face,” before the MF DOOM identity. He recommends that newer listeners begin with that earlier period to hear the contrast. That perspective treats the masked persona as part of a longer creative evolution, rather than the whole story.
The project follows other efforts to preserve DOOM’s catalog and visual world. In 2024, Rhymesayers marked the 20th anniversary of MM..FOOD with a repackaged edition and related collectibles. Its digital edition included remixes and seven interview excerpts recorded with Kevin Beacham in 2004. That earlier release connected archival music and the artist’s own voice; this capsule instead centers Greene’s new interpretation.
The merchandise is offered as a preorder, not an immediate-shipping release. Collectionzz says it plans to begin shipping during the week of December 7 and will notify customers if that timetable changes. Its individual product pages carry any quantity limits and availability information. The capsule has launched, but the published fulfillment window remains a plan rather than a guaranteed arrival date.
