Quavo and Offset are back on the same record, previewing “Away” at a Qrömelife release event ahead of Quavo’s new Pharrell Williams-produced album.
Quavo and Offset gave fans an early listen to “Away,” their first new collaboration in five years, during a recent release party for Quavo’s upcoming album Qrömelife. Complex reported that the two stood together as the unreleased track played for the crowd.
The reunion carries extra weight because of the distance between the two rappers in the years following Migos’ breakup and the death of Takeoff in 2022. Their last full Migos album together, Culture III, arrived in 2021, making “Away” a major moment for listeners who have been waiting to hear Quavo and Offset reconnect on wax.
“Away” is set to appear on Qrömelife, which arrives October 2 and is executive produced by Pharrell Williams. The album is also expected to feature T.I., Future, Pharrell, Tyler, The Creator, A$AP Rocky, Lil Baby, Yung Miami and Justin Timberlake.
Quavo has been steadily building toward the project with new music throughout the year, including the Pharrell-produced “Trance (Walk It Down)” and his T.I. collaboration “Backwards.” He has also spoken about honoring Takeoff through future material and keeping the Migos legacy moving forward.
The “Away” preview also comes as Quavo continues to talk openly about another Migos chapter. In a recent Atlanta radio interview, he said there are plans for another run together and a tour, signaling that the new Offset collaboration may be part of something larger than a one-off reunion.
For now, “Away” is the clearest sign yet that Quavo and Offset are musically aligned again. With Qrömelife only days away, the track gives the album an added layer of anticipation while reopening the door to the Migos chemistry fans have been missing.
