OTF Vonnie Says 6ix9ine’s ‘Slide for Von’ Pressure Added Fuel to Lil Durk Tensions

OTF Vonnie testified that Lil Durk was already bothered by 6ix9ine’s public “Slide for Von” taunts before the attention around the phrase intensified the pressure surrounding King Von’s death.

Kavon Grant, better known as OTF Vonnie, brought Lil Durk’s long-running tension with 6ix9ine into the courtroom during Durk’s federal murder-for-hire trial. According to XXL’s report on the testimony, Vonnie said Durk was already bothered by 6ix9ine telling him to “slide for Von,” and that the clip spreading publicly “added fuel to the fire” and “increased the pressure.”

The phrase became a recurring provocation after King Von was killed in Atlanta in November 2020. 6ix9ine repeatedly used Von’s death to antagonize Durk online, turning “Slide for Von” into a highly visible piece of their feud and keeping the pressure around retaliation in front of a massive rap audience.

Vonnie’s testimony gives prosecutors another piece of context as they argue that Durk was motivated by revenge following Von’s death. Durk has pleaded not guilty, and his defense has maintained that he had nothing to do with the alleged murder-for-hire plot, while challenging the credibility and motives of cooperating witnesses who have taken the stand.
