Tekashi’s former manager is currently serving his 15-year prison sentence and just about a week ago a photo of the Nine Trey Bloods gang member surfaced online.
The picture of Shotti in jail was shared by Tekashi 6ix9ine associate and music personality DJ Akademiks, although it’s unknown when or by who the picture was taken.
While Shotti looks to be doing well considering the circumstances, recent news about his appeal could change that. According to AllHipHop, Shotti’s high-powered lawyer Jeremy Lichtman opted to be removed from the case after reviewing Shotti’s situation further. Lichtman believes Shotti has no chance of scoring an appeal as a result of signing a valid appeal waiver which prohibits him from appealing his sentence. In an official letter addressed to Judge Paul Engelmayer Lichtman wrote, “I respectfully submit that the record from the district court contains no reversible errors. To the contrary, the record reveals that Mr. Jordan knowingly, voluntarily and intelligently pled guilty to the charges,” adding, “Accordingly, I submit that there exists no non-frivolous issues on appeal. For these reasons, counsel should be permitted to withdraw.”
