New Orleans native Co Sum Serious is set to release his highly anticipated single “Bipolar” on September 27th across all streaming platforms. The track comes ahead of his upcoming EP, “Thinking Out Loud,” slated for release in November 2024.
“Bipolar” is a dynamic track about living on the edge and embracing behavior that defies the norm. The song cleverly uses mental health to set the stage, with Co Sum Serious’ erratic flow reflecting the ups and downs of life. In his own words, he’s “on a mission, and his flow is so mental.”
The track also stands out for its gritty wordplay, which delivers a message that his lyrical skills are unmatched. Through sharp metaphors and intense imagery, Co Sum Serious paints himself as a force to be reckoned with, using light references to violence to suggest he’s taking opponents out in the worst way.
Co Sum Serious cites his late legendary cousin Soulja Slim as one of his biggest musical influences. Growing up, he was also heavily inspired by the lyrical genius of Lil Wayne, both of whom shaped his approach to music.
Bipolar was produced by Houston’s Platinum Pat, adding an extra layer of southern heat to the release.
