While the term “reimagined” has become synonymous with vintage or aged Jordan releases, popularized by different variations of the Jordan 1 — New Balance has seemingly embraced the term and concept for itself, with the reveal of a “reimagined” trio of the 550 silhouettes.
The ’80s-era basketball classic has received a vintage look, complete with pre-aged mid and outsoles, worn leather surfaces and “N” logos that feature a cracked paint aesthetic. Interested buyers will be able to choose from three different colorways, namely white/red, white/grey and white/brown — all featuring the same pre-loved vintage charm elements.
While an exact release date has not yet been shared at the time of writing, the “reimagined” pack is expected to drop sometime in 2024 via New Balance’s official site for a retail price of $130 USD each.
