MRMATTYB Unleashes Cheeky Single To Shake Up Australian Hip Hop With "For That Dick"

Emerging Wiradjuri rapper MRMATTYB has officially made his entrance with his debut single For That Dick, a bold Hip Hop release that blends humor, confidence, and sharp lyricism. Now available everywhere, the track signals a fearless return to music for the artist and immediately sets him apart with its unapologetic energy and originality. With this release, MRMATTYB begins carving out vital space for queer voices within the Australian rap scene, proving he is unafraid to challenge norms while delivering memorable bars and undeniable personality.

After years of striving to craft the perfect debut and piling pressure on himself to create the one, MRMATTYB chose to abandon perfectionism and embrace something light-hearted and irreverent. The result is For that dick, a track designed as an iconic anthem for the girls and gays of Western Sydney. It may spark controversy, but MRMATTYB points out that he has encountered far more offensive content from straight artists, viewing this as a playful retort to give them a taste of their own medicine. He envisions For that dick becoming a defining track of 2026.

For That Dick spotlights MRMATTYB as a writer who understands rap tradition while gleefully twisting expectations, stacking crisp phrasing atop a beat built for head nods and late night laughter. Rhythm control feels effortless, punchlines land with surgical timing, while charisma fuels momentum from first bar through final cadence. Instead of leaning on shock alone, the performance rewards attentive listeners through smart sequencing, cultural winks, and a hook that sticks without overstaying its welcome. The result is a hip hop moment driven by confidence, craft, and personality, proving originality still thrives when an artist trusts instinct and lets character lead the charge.

The concept for the single had been simmering in MRMATTYB‘s mind for some time. Although he has been rapping and performing since 2022, he stepped away from the scene due to a lack of inspiration, feeling unwelcome as a gay man and a white-passing Aboriginal gay man, alongside personal challenges. Determined to give it one final push, he sought something shocking to capture attention. The hook lingered in his thoughts for a month or two before he sat down one day and penned the lyrics in about an hour, initially producing enough material to triple the song’s length, which he then refined. He sourced the beat from BeatStars and recorded the track at home using his Shure SM7DB microphone in his back room, wrapping up the session in roughly two hours. When sharing it with friends and close contacts, they responded with laughter but unanimously felt it deserved a wider audience.

MRMATTYB embraces whatever reactions come his way, anticipating criticism, potential cancellation, and ridicule, after all, that is the essence of art. He particularly hopes the girls and gays will embrace it as a vibrant, unique addition to the Australian rap landscape, where nothing quite like this has emerged before. Beyond the comedy, he encourages listeners to appreciate the clever bars, nods to local culture, pop culture references, and the song’s overarching concept.

MRMATTYB is a gay Wiradjuri rapper from Mount Druitt NSW. He may be a fresh face in the digital streaming world but he is no stranger to hip hop. Having been performing since 2022 he has performed with some notable Australian icons such as G Rebel and VV Pete. MRMATTYB is known for his witty and cutthroat bars delivered over iconic beats. He has also helped elevate hip hop by putting on regular events. MRMATTYB aims to be the perfect mix of funny, lyrical and political. 2026 is the year of the gays taking over and MRMATTYB will make sure that happens. Here is to making music that your preacher will warn you about in their sermon.
