Hip Hop label MiFly is spearheaded by founders C Dub, Goodbook and Goldeci. The trio’s bond is thicker than blood and their goals to disrupt the music industry can’t be denied. They came together with the same passion, to set a new standard not only for themselves but for their peers in the industry as well. And who better to start a business than with your family? MiFly was born of two generations to uplift and inspire young people to achieve their goals despite adversity. MiFly stands for “My Inspiration For Living Young” and that’s exactly what the trio plans to manifest.
Determined to work beyond their limitations, C Dub, Goodbook and Goldeci are currently working with a wide variety of artists, each of them with new projects underway. There may also be a surprise to come! According to C Dub, the biggest challenge that they have faced while making their way through the industry has been their struggle to implement a strategic marketing plan for themselves.
With all the focus on the artists, it’s easy to put the company’s brand second. They want to be known as a leading independent label so that their success can truly shine. Despite the challenges, C Dub says that the best thing about being a label owner and entrepreneur is being able to expand their creativity as far as they desire while maximizing on all opportunities presented to them as a family.
Their advice to new artists is to stay consistent, believe and invest in yourself while staying on your path because it can get windy. Their goal for the next five years is to top the charts with MiFly artists work and to continue to do so year after year.
In ten years, they hope to grow as a global brand and expand their roster while staying consistent and maintaining integrity to continue to grow the family as core pieces of the label while striving toward their goals.
