With summer right around the corner, you can be sure to attend a cookout, pool party, and blast some good music. Marcus Alland, a New York native, brings to the table the food which fully enriches our bodies. This food translates through Marcus’ melodic beats and rhythmic words.
At the age of 14, Marcus found his passion and love for music in the church. He began to work on his craft, often being in his room with headphones on. Marcus credits the drummer from the church, his older brother, and musical greats such as Kendrick Lamar, Hit-Boy, and Chris Brown as his inspiration.
“Summertime Fine is a groove. I want to capture the feeling of summer,” Marcus explains. Along with the good food and good fun, I think it’s safe to say we also need some good vibes. Marcus goes on to explain, “you can’t have summertime without good music, so for me it was always about the vibes and how it makes people feel while enjoying those clear blue skies, that heavenly sunshine, and being around good people.”
One thing for sure, you’ll definitely want to blast this song in your car, through your headphones, and everywhere else in between. From beginning to end, this song makes you want to get up and dance. You’ll surely have it on repeat. “Summertime Fine” is set to be released on all major music streaming platforms on Friday, June 24th.
