Ask Lundey where she’s from and you’ll get a cross-country story — born in Pittsburgh, raised in Georgia, now soaking up the Arizona sun. “The sun definitely hits different out here,” she says, and you can almost feel that warmth in her music.
Music has always been more than background noise for Lundey. She studied jazz in college, drawn to voices with grit and heart — artists like Amy Winehouse and producers like Salaam Remi. That jazz foundation runs deep in her sound, but it never boxes her in. Instead, it opens up her version of R&B, making space for emotion, chill vibes, and stories that actually mean something.
“I’m not limited by genre,” she says. “My music is emotional, soulful, and chill, with a strong focus on storytelling and vibe. I want every song to feel like a safe space, a soft place to land.” There’s a real sense of balance in what she creates — the kind of music that meets you where you are, whether you’re celebrating or just need somewhere to breathe.
When it comes to making music, Lundey loves crafting songs that build an emotional atmosphere. “It’s about finding that balance between vulnerability and strength,” she explains. Every detail matters, from the way the vocals sit in the mix to the stories woven through the lyrics.
Right now, Lundey is in build mode. She’s focused on releasing more music, performing live, and building a creative community that feels as genuine as her sound. “I want to keep expanding my reach and stay consistent while staying rooted in the moment,” she says.
Her latest single, “Girl Next Door dropped July 11th — a smooth, emotional blend of R&B with a little Phil Collins vibe thrown in for good measure. She’s not stopping there. An EP is on the way at the end of summer, plus a slate of live shows and collaborations.
