LMF Truth, an influential hip-hop and rap artist hailing from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has been making music for over a decade. Known for his deeply personal lyrics and compelling storytelling, LMF Truth has built a reputation for authenticity and emotional depth in his music.
Inspired by the legendary Tupac Shakur, LMF Truth pursued a career in music to have a voice and be heard, just like his idol. His sound is influenced by a blend of artists, including NoCap, Rod Wave, Lil Poppa, Lil Durk, Polo G, and Kevin Gates, among others. This diverse range of influences has helped him carve out a unique niche in the music industry.
LMF Truth’s journey in music has been marked by numerous releases that chronicle his life experiences and personal growth. He has released seven studio albums and two EPs, each project reflecting different phases of his life. His debut album, State of Mind (2016), marked his entry into the rap scene, dedicated to his late mentor and showcasing his emerging sound. His first EP, On Short Notice (2020), dealt with themes of betrayal and personal struggles, offering a raw and unfiltered look into his life.
In 2022, LMF Truth released his second album, The Wrong Path, a tribute to his father that delved into his upbringing and the challenges he faced. That same year, his second EP, Life Got In The Way, captured the hardships in his personal life. In 2023, after signing with the independent label Vision & Vitality Entertainment, he released Anywhere But Here, his third album, which provided a comprehensive look at his artistic identity.
Continuing his prolific output, LMF Truth released I’ll Know Next Time in 2023, an album inspired by his past mistakes and the lessons learned. In 2024, he released his fifth album, Someone I Believed In, through Bentley Records, fulfilling his contract with them. He followed this with Before You Go and his seventh album, It’s Only Up 4RM Here, a collaboration with fellow artist Loso1Hunnid.
Among the many milestones in his career, the most memorable for LMF Truth was receiving constructive feedback from Atlantic Records A&Rs, who praised his impressive music catalog and encouraged him to continue his path, predicting a future signing.
Having just released his seventh album in July 2024, LMF Truth is already working on new music. Fans can catch him live on August 6th at the Capital Park Bar & Grill in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
