While other artists struggle to diversify their sound, Krujay makes it look effortless with his latest single, “Recipe.” Born in Winnipeg, Canada, Dane Kryger aka Krujay now resides in Columbia, Maryland where his music career continues to flourish. His path to becoming an artist was prophesied since birth, finding a love for music through his parents who often indulged in songs of the 80’s and 90’s.
Krujay, originally from Canada but residing in Philadelphia, delivers an alternative pop-influenced hip-hop track with “Recipe.” As he grew, Krujay gravitated to hip hop and RnB acts like Eminem, Wu-Tang, Biggie Smalls, The Lox, A Tribe Called Quest, Usher, and Musiq Soulchild to name a few. Krujay admired the range of sounds by those that held the title of hip hop goats, and developed a style of his own that was as versatile as the legends themselves. His music held a feel-good wavy vibe that took listeners to a chill fun place. That unique sound paved the way for his latest single, “Recipe” released through indie label, Duly Noted Entertainment.
In new video, “Recipe” Krujay plays the role of an average man, working a job at the local restaurant where he finds love with colleague bartender. “Recipe” is Krujay uses a jovial manner to express how his feelings.
It is an ideal party anthem with an exquisite arrangement. The tonality is extremely vibrant, which makes the single quite incredible. The intro with trumpet and elevated bass truly gives a lofty vibe! The exalted rhythm section with experimental melodic tones demonstrates the signature Krujay sound. Krujay’s other notable songs, such as Go All Night and Like This, had an unconventional vocal performance and composition. Whereas, Recipe has that lushness ingrained, which will certainly appeal to a larger audience. Albeit, summer anthems are cradled best when there is an energetic vocal blend in the song. And through Recipe, Krujay showcases that energetic vocal temperament with a different paradigm and a unique intonation.
