Komanii is back with his third release of 2024 as he takes a groove-laden approach on his latest single, ‘Back To You,’ to take him to atmospheric new heights. The single comes following the release of ‘HURRA’ and ‘254’ earlier this year as Komanii makes his mark on the music industry.
Combining a catchy groove with silky melodies and effortless danceability, Komanii returns to the limelight again with his unique approach to music-making. Proving his musical versatility, ‘Back To You’ embodies an infectious groove and pounding 4/4 kick drum to hammer home an irresistible groove. Coupling his trademark flow with an uplifting soundscape, the track explores the aftermath following the ending of a core friendship that had run its course.
Speaking about the creative process behind the single, Komanii comments, “I wrote and produced this song over two years ago following the ending of tumultuous ‘relationships’ with some core people in my life at the time. I think of it as a self-loving and self-affirming anthem.”
Komanii is a rapper and producer based in London, UK. Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, he blends uncompromising storytelling with an authentic spirit through his artistry. Having lived around the world, Komanii started writing after a move to the USA before the release of his debut EP ‘Niko Tayari’ in 2018. Since then, he has moved from strength to strength, collaborating with like-minded artists, including Ayon Mukherji, Elrim, and others, and expanding his artistic career with his work as a fashion designer.
Keeping his momentum high, Komanii released three singles in 2024, cementing himself as a young talent to be marvelled at. “2025 will be a big year with loads more music to come” – Komanii.
