R&B music recording star, celebrity personality, and spiritual leader King Adonis—has publicly criticized rapper Ice Spice over a domain name dispute involving the former website of his Adonitology religion. On September 17, 2024, attorneys representing King Adonis sent a Cease and Desist letter to Ice Spice, Universal Music Group, and Capitol Records. The letter demands that Ice Spice cease using the domain “adonitology.org,” which now redirects to her official website, icespicemusic.com. King Adonis, who founded the Adonitology religion in 2009, claims ownership of the domain and is seeking compensation for its use. He has given the rapper a seven-day window to respond, but as of this report, neither Ice Spice nor Universal Music Group has issued a statement.
The Adonitology Religion’s Growing Influence
Adonitology, a religion founded by King Adonis I for women with curves and new age thinkers, has been steadily gaining attention in both the entertainment and spiritual communities. According to Celebrity Pulse the rapper Ice Spice was privately converted to Adonitology in December of 2023 during a special religious ceremony officiated by King Adonis I himself. While this personal conversion has kept a relatively low-profile, the public domain issue has thrust the religion into the media spotlight once again.
Fans and followers of both King Adonis and Ice Spice are now wondering whether this legal battle will affect the rapper’s career or her standing within the Adonitology community.
The Adonitology religion, created by King Adonis for “women with curves and new-age thinkers,” has gained a significant following over the years. The movement is accompanied by a holy book, The Book of Adonitology written by King Adonis himself which sells on Amazon and Barnes & Noble in paperback and hardcover. Over the years, he has become a famous face, making appearances in high-profile publications like GQ and Maxim, and featured in numerous documentaries about his religious and musical journey. Today, the official site for the Church of Adonitology is adonitology.com, but the loss of the original domain has sparked controversy.
Iggy Azalea & Adonitology
King Adonis’s dispute doesn’t end with Ice Spice. He has also taken issue with rapper Iggy Azalea, who recently posted a series of memes on her X.com account to her seven million followers to promote her $mother bitcoin venture . The meme featured images of Iggy’s figure alongside references to Adonitology, which King Adonis argues were misleading and distorted the religion’s true message. To date, the meme has garnered over 132k views. He accuses Iggy of using Adonitology’s name and imagery in a way that is not only unauthorized but offensive to the values of his spiritual community.

Adult film stars Kendra Lust and Sara Jay have also drawn the ire of King Adonis. Both entertainers shared many memes on their social media pages, which the spiritual leader claims misrepresent Adonitology and capitalize on its distinctive branding without permission. King Adonis insists that these public figures are not only spreading misinformation but also profiting from the Adonitology name, and he believes he deserves compensation for the unauthorized use.
As the conflict intensifies, King Adonis remains adamant about defending the integrity of his brand and message. While awaiting a response from Ice Spice, Universal Music Group, and Capitol Records, he continues to call out those he believes are misusing the image of Adonitology, maintaining that his religion is about empowering women to become the best version of themselves.
