JLo plans on doing it big for her 50th birthday.
Shortly after hosting at the 2019 Grammys, American singer, actress, dancer and producer Jennifer Lopez paid a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show to announce “It’s My Party” 50th birthday tour. “This summer I decided I wanted to do something big for my birthday since it’s a big birthday,” JLo told Ellen, as seen in the video below.
“I’m going on a U.S. tour, it’s called It’s My Party… We’re only doing 25, 28 shows, something like that. It’s just a small amount of shows, but we’ll be out all through June and July.”
The tour will kick off on June 7th in Phoenix and will end on July 26th in Miami, Florida – tickets are not yet available but will be in due time. JLo told the audience how she finds it “nuts” that she’s turning 50 on Jully 24th explaining how she feels like she’s 26.
Subsequently Jlo’s Motown tribute at the 2019 Grammys this past sunday, the singer defended herself against those who weren’t for her taking the stage for the 60th anniversary celebratory performance.
“The thing about music is that it inspires all. Any type of music can inspire any type of artist,” she told ET. “You can’t tell people what to love. You can’t tell people what they can and can’t do, what they should sing or not sing. You gotta do what’s in your heart.”
