Anniston, Alabama’s own Jayboe is carving out his lane in hip-hop by staying true to himself. In a world where so much of the industry feels manufactured, Jayboe stands firmly on authenticity, using his music to reflect real life and connect with people going through it.
“I feel like people should read about me just from a relatable standpoint,” he says. “I honestly feel like I have at least one song for everybody. When people go through life, sometimes they feel alone, and just being able to hear something and be like, damn I’m going through that same shit too, is relieving for people.”
That’s the mission behind his sound—creating music that doesn’t just entertain but resonates on a personal level. Unlike artists chasing trends, Jayboe makes it clear: he’s always going to be Boe.
Making a Name in Bama
Coming from Anniston, where opportunities in music are scarce, every accomplishment carries weight. “It’s dry around here,” he admits. But his name still rings out, and whenever it’s mentioned, it’s tied to the elite. For Jayboe, success isn’t just about numbers or accolades. It’s about character. “I can have 100 million streams and be signed to the biggest label, but if I’m not standing on business as a man, I’m automatically flaw.”
Balancing Fatherhood and Music
One of his biggest challenges hasn’t come from the studio, but from life itself—becoming a father. Balancing the demands of parenthood with the pursuit of a music career has tested him. “It’s for sure a balance that I kind of struggled to find and sometimes still do, because life is always moving,” he reflects. But that responsibility also fuels his grind, giving him a reason to keep pushing.
Eyes on the Future
Looking ahead, Jayboe’s vision is simple but powerful. He doesn’t crave the title of “biggest artist in the game.” Instead, his dream is to touch people who need his words and to provide for his family through the gift God gave him. “In a few years, I see myself finally reaping everything sowed, all the long days, all the work I’ve put in—even all the times I cried chasing this when I didn’t see a result. That’s the beauty of it. It’s all part of the process.”
The Return of
Ninety Eight
This fall, Jayboe closes a circle with the release of Ninety Eight Part 2, the long-awaited sequel to his very first project. Eight years after the original, he’s back with a full-length 16-track album dropping October 24, 2025. The project represents growth, persistence, and a full-circle moment in his career.
With Ninety Eight Part 2, Jayboe isn’t just releasing another album—he’s sharing his journey, struggles, and triumphs through music meant to connect. And for anyone listening, he’s got one message: no matter what you’re going through, you’re not alone.
