A Brooklyn-based independent artist, Jason Pyro works in a variety of mediums. Having both parents from Guyana, he is a Guyanese American. His musical career began at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, where he took piano lessons. Rap appeared much earlier in his career. At 12, he began freestyling, and at 16, he recorded his first serious song. The love and connection Jason Pyro has had for music is deep-rooted. Jason used to memorize some of his favorite movie soundtracks and lyrics when he was younger. It has taken him a long time to get where he is today because he has faced a lot of challenges along the way. Being black in America at 25 years old without a felony charge was his greatest challenge.
According to Jason Pyro, the system tried to lock him up, but between him, his family, and God, they weren’t successful. Challenges have also brought success, and he believes that never giving up has been his greatest accomplishment. After doing music for over a decade, he is now seeing some success. Success comes from consistency and heart, according to Jason.
The talented people on Jason Pyro’s team help make his music the best it can be. His main producers are Razsy Beats and Take Flight G5. Additionally, he has worked with King Chung, ShotbyLlama, Vinnyographer, and 070 Sebastian. In order to make his own great music, Jason Pyro listens to other artists and takes inspiration from them. A good example of this is Pharell. As a producer and an artist, Pharell is one of his favorite artists, so working with him would be a dream come true.
There is a lot of music that Jason Pyro is about to release in the near future. A new single called “Goyard” will be released on his birthday, 7/22. It is Jason Pyro’s belief that “Goyard” will be a huge hit with his fans. “Same Thang” featuring Aaron Rose is another huge hit coming soon. Keep up to date with Jason by following his Instagram.
