While the industry is focused on why the majors didn’t chart in hip hop this past year, we are focused on the indie artists making a push for the crown that is up for grabs. Prestplay, a recording artist out of Columbus, GA, made an enormous amount of noise with early releases “TaCashi” & “CoronaVirus 2”. He even did a Rock The Mic version of his record, “Gold Teeth” earlier this year.
His latest release, “Insomnia,” features a smooth but somber instrumental with vocals by Play explaining how he sleeps at night with protection. He believes many of the men from his section experience this trauma and that it plays a huge part in how they all interact with each other.
