Ignacio Peña’s Celestial Soundscape Bridges Worlds and Cultures in ‘To The Stars

Ignacio Peña’s return feels like a launch sequence. To The Stars is a radiant collision of groove and imagination—a track that spirals upwards, carrying with it horn blasts, shimmering synths, and a chorus of voices that span continents. The Puerto Rican storyteller and three-time Emmy winner is in full command, steering his music toward the galaxies while keeping his feet firmly on the dancefloor.

The single thrives on contrast. Peña’s production, shaped alongside Isaac Sakko and Rick Moon, places lush electronic textures against the brassy vitality of Joe Keys’ arrangements. The Epoch House Choir, recorded in Nigeria, brings further depth, layering human warmth atop cosmic ambition. It’s a track that feels global and galactic in equal measure.

Lyrically, To The Stars is a tribute to Carl Sagan, but Peña isn’t content with imitation. Instead, he channels Sagan’s vision into something kinetic—a rhythm that insists on movement. Where others might lean into existential awe, Peña injects optimism: yes, the universe is vast, but isn’t that the perfect stage for our music?

With To The Stars, Peña proves that pop doesn’t need to shrink itself to feel accessible. It can expand outward, radiating possibilities. Bold, celebratory, and unashamedly ambitious, this single is proof that Ignacio Peña isn’t just writing songs—he’s sending signals.
