Ice Spice recently spoke to Rolling Stone for her cover story ahead of the release of her debut album Y2K!. She spoke about her humble beginnings and how she was first connected with Billionaire Boys Club brand founder Pharrell Williams.
In the cover story, Ice Spice recounts her previous experiences and all the moments that led her to where she is now. The artists revealed that she had spent time at New York college SUNY Purchase but had dropped out after her sophomore year at age 24. She said that she needed a job at the time and her friend and longtime collaborator RiotUSA helped her out by connecting her to a job at the Billionaire Boys Club warehouse in 2020. She shared that it was an overall positive experience, “That was a fun-ass job though, because we was able to play music off the laptop and shit. Our boss was mad cool.” When asked if she plans on working with BBC, she teases a new collaboration, “It’s coming. WE have BBC x Ice Spice merch.”
