Tell us about your background getting to where you are today?
When I was younger I did a lot of things I shouldn’t have been doing. I ended up dropping out of school my 11th grade year because I wanted money and felt school wasn’t making me any money at the time so why be there. It was definitely not a great way to think of things but I was hungry and became impatient. I started working at Taco Bell and doing side hustles also. A little over a year later I joined the Cleveland Job Corps and got my diploma and 2 trades. Right after I enrolled in college but dropped out a year later, it wasn’t for me. I left for the Kentucky Job Corps and joined the Military a few months after. After a while, I sat and thought about what I really see myself enjoying doing for the rest of my life. The only answer I had was music. I’ve always loved music. I told myself I have to take this chance on this dream of mine no matter if I fail. I didn’t want to live thinking of what I could have done or should have done. Now here I am. Where are you from?
I am from what my city calls “The Heights” in Cleveland, Ohio.
When did you start music?
I actually have been involved with music since a kid but it was just for the love of it. I didn’t take things seriously until 2020.
How did you get into music?
It was actually something I naturally gravitated to. I and my brothers would freestyle songs all the time for fun. Music runs in my family. My father is a DJ and almost everyone in my family is involved in music in some way.
What is the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life?
The most challenging thing I had to overcome in my life was getting out of my brother’s shadow. They are well known which caused me to be looked at as their younger brother and not just as myself. I wanted to be my own man.
Are you currently signed or independent?
I am currently independent but do Artist Development with Bentley Records.
Who inspires you the most musically?
Musically, I would say Drake, J Cole and Young Dolph. But on the Music Business side, Young Dolph, Boosie and Russ.
What do you want people to take away after listening to your music? After listening to me I want them to understand that being whoever you are is ok. You don’t have to fit in, be liked or do things that are considered the norm. I want them to understand that I am an example of someone who doesn’t shy away from any part of myself.
Any new music coming out soon?
Yes, I have a ton of music coming out. April is when my flood starts.
