Born Jayvon Mccoy, S5Kazi is originally from Marietta, Georgia. While still young Kazi experienced a lot of hardships and triumphs. Raised in an area where drugs and violence were present, S5Kazi beat the odds in more ways than one! S5Kazi fell in love with music around the age of 12, and by 16 he was already recording songs professionally. According to Mazi, his stage name stands for “Starting 5 Kazi”, representing a creative group and record label he co-founded with a friend four years ago.
His music career gained significant momentum with the release of his lead single “Hold On” in 2022, garnering support from family, friends, and fans. Despite facing setbacks, he dedicated 2024 to honing his craft. S5Kazi is set to make a strong push with his EP “Starting Over,” out now on all platforms.
