Gutti Raw, a name that resonates with raw energy and authenticity, has been shaping the sound of Hip-Hop for nearly two decades. Born and raised in the Bronx, Gutti’s musical journey began in 2005, driven by a passion for creating and writing music. “I’ve been doing this for 20 years. My first song was ‘I Really Wanna Try,’ and my first project, ‘Trap Bilinual,’ was a real game-changer for me,” he recalls, setting the stage for his relentless pursuit of success in the music world.
Inspired by his brother, Gutti Raw has always been motivated to push his limits and build a legacy that honors his roots. His sound? A blend of hard-hitting Hip-Hop with that distinct Bronx flavor, delivering street-smart lyricism over raw, unfiltered beats. “I create Hip-Hop/Rap,” he says, proudly standing by the genre that shaped him, while also staying open to various collaborations and opportunities to expand his horizons.
Speaking of collaborations, Gutti has worked with artists like Oun P and battle rapper Chess, yet his aspirations reach far beyond. “One person I’d want to work with, dead or alive, is Big Pun,” he confides. The late legend’s influence is undeniable, and Gutti continues to carry the torch, channeling that same energy into his music.
Currently, he’s putting the finishing touches on an upcoming album, in collaboration with producer 808Solo. Fans are already vibing to his latest release, “BELLY,” which features Oun P, a track that showcases his lyrical prowess and street-savvy swagger. But he’s not stopping there – his next release, “Bend It Over,” produced by 808Solo, is set to bring even more heat to the streets.
Although not signed to a label, Gutti Raw has faith in the journey, humbly trusting that whatever the universe has in store for him is what he’ll accept. “I’m humbled for whatever God has planned,” he says, displaying a grounded perspective amidst the fast-paced world of the music industry.
His biggest supporters? They’re right there beside him every step of the way: his friends, family, and fiancée. “They keep me going,” he says. And in terms of his artistic process, Gutti Raw is heavily involved in every aspect, from writing his own material to conceptualizing his music videos. “I’m open for opinions and criticism,” he explains, always striving to improve and perfect his craft.
Despite the grind, Gutti Raw knows where he wants to take his career next. “One place I want to travel to perform is the Apollo Theater,” he shares. With his passion, skills, and authenticity, it’s clear that Gutti Raw is on a mission to make his mark. Keep an eye out for him – he’s just getting started.
