Gold Franko's 'F Baby' Project Is Here

Preceded by the single “Demon Time”, fast rising Watts emcee Gold Franko returns with his latest body of work – F Baby.

Branding bouncy beats, new age West-Coast infused sonics, and Eastside Watts lingo, the record is a compilation of ten snarling tracks that lighthouse Gold Franko’s return to music exquisitely.

“Being able to finally finish my project after 2 years of working on it,” he says. “I’m glad I can give that body of work to my fans after all the waiting they did.”

Mused by Lil Wayne’s heightened era around 2008/9 when the New Orleans and Young Money CEO would go by the moniker Weezy F Baby, Gold’s decision to coin his project F Baby is a homage to that era, and a play of what he shares is his nickname to the ladies.

“I came up wit the name because I feel like Lil Wayne was in his prime when he went by Weezy F Baby, so I wanted to keep that energy. Also my ladies love calling me F Baby” Gold Franko continues.

On the record, he calls out pseudo account culture on “Fake Pages,” airs out lazy folks on “Scamdemic” feat. Freddrick Caine, shows his dark side on “Demon Time,” lets his guard down for his lady with the love letter-esque on “Whole Demon” and celebrates fallen rapper Drakeo The Ruler who fatally passed away at a festival in December, 2021 – with the tribute track “Weirdos” – a track he dubs his favorite.

“’Weirdos’ is one of my favorites because I sampled Drakeo the Ruler where he’s talking about loyalty on a Instagram live and how people switched up on him,” he shared. “I felt that exact way, especially with him passing away I wanted to do a tribute and keep his words alive.”

The record is a concise effort stacked with bangers, and is available on music streaming platforms.

The West Coast emcee has also promised this is only the beginning of a promising year where he vows to release more music consistently.

“I’m planning to drop a R&B project by the end of February and after that I’m dropping a project every month of 2022 … I’m not holding any more music,” he concluded.
