In 2020, he expanded into recording and engineering his own vocals, giving himself full control over how his music sounded from start to finish. That independence allowed him to experiment freely and shape his sound without outside pressure.
His influences reflect that same openness. You can hear elements inspired by artists like Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Tracy, Playboi Carti, and Young Thug, blended with the emotional weight of late 90s through 2010s emo rock. The process of finding that sound took time. Around 15 or 16, he began taking music more seriously, releasing albums, EPs, and singles along the way. Each release was part of a learning curve. Now, zero6ix is stepping into a new chapter. He is currently working on his upcoming album, Bleeding Pink, planned for release sometime in August.
