Aside from the sprinting tracks, Jamaica also claims a spot for the international music scene. For ages, it has been a powerful country with its rich music culture that spreads the Caribbean vibes to the rest of the world. A mention of Jamaican music might leave some people thinking of reggae or dance hall, but other popular genres include mento, dub, and many others. There are thousands of popular Jamaican artists representing their country’s diverse music culture. It can be unfair to talk about music and not have Jamaica on the map.
Fabdon is the new and hottest upcoming artist representing the Jamaican music culture. Coming from the Southside Jamaica Queens, where greats are made, Fabdon is taking over the space with his outstanding brand that sets him apart from the rest. The talented rapper has hit the industry with his rich diversity.
Since making his debut, Fabdon has established a promising career with numerous notable highlights. The year 2021 was one of the best years for the prolific rapper who achieved more than he could have imagined. Fabdon released more music that was well-received by his fast-growing fan base.
Fans also enjoyed his 2022 release “Lamar Anthem.” This catchy beat features Louie Sosa, who adds to the quality of the track. Both the lyrics and music video can be shocking at times, grabbing listeners’ attention right off the bat. This is part of the reason the song has earned thousands of streams in a short amount of time.
In addition to successful tracks, Fabdon has also shared the stage with other top-level artists, including Pooh Shiesty. Fabdon was offered a meeting with Nas Brother from Jungle to interact with the artist, which included working together on the Queens Bridge Music.
Fabdon has also received overwhelming support from other top industry players, including the sensational DJ Self, who has consistently been playing Fabdon’s music since the release of his debut single. Interestingly, DJ Self has shown support to him despite his former signee LOUGOTCASH, one of Fabdon’s adversaries. This adds to Fabdon’s inspiring life journey into the music scene. He emerged from the streets to dominate the industry.
The industry being one of the most competitive sectors, Fabdon has faced many challenges that he has had to overcome to keep his dream alive. Being a released convict, Fabdon’s major challenge was maintaining the discipline to focus on his career. Fabdon had to invest many hours learning and understanding what it takes to be a successful artist. It took him time to get everything on the right track, but he finally got it right. Fortunately, he overcame all the hurdles by reading more about the music scene, especially while still in prison and dedicating his time and resources to focus on his career.
A self-made success, Fabdon aspires to share the power of positive thinking with others and truly believing in yourself and your talent to make your visions come true.
“I literally told myself I was going to get released from prison early, not knowing how but truly believing, and then all of a sudden Covid came about. I would’ve never expected that believing in a miracle to happen. In a few years I see myself dominating the industry as a mogul and rap artist and actor. Because those are my main dreams and aspirations to make music and accommodate others with the same opportunities I was given,” concludes Fabdon.
