1.) Q: What is your name and what city do you rep?
“My name is TR3VON. I rep Minneapolis, MN by way of Chicago, IL.”
2.) Q: What’s your most memorable moment of last year (2024)?
“One of my most memorable moments of 2024 was completing my EP that’ll be released on May 30th. Also, it would be returning to the stage performing new songs—I LUV IT live for the first time and seeing the crowd vibe with every word. It reminded me why I do what I do.”
3.) Q: What’s the meaning behind your latest track and its title?
“Wake Up The Night” is an anthem about reclaiming your power and finding true love—even in the darkest moments. It’s about choosing freedom, joy, and energy when life tries to dim your light. This track celebrates rising above the pain, embracing your truth, and letting love and light lead the way.”
4.) Q: Any upcoming projects that you can speak on…
“My EP project Phoenix will be released May 30th, which I am very excited for because a lot of work has been put into this EP. I also have been working on a follow-up project that’ll come at a later date.”
5.) Q: What goals would you like to accomplish this year?
“This year, my biggest goal is to keep pushing forward with my music—creating from a place of truth, healing, and purpose. Losing my mother changed everything. It’s a pain I carry daily, but I’m learning to live with it by pouring my emotions into my art. I want to release more music that reflects this journey and connects with others who are grieving or going through tough times. I also hope to grow as a person, show up fully for myself, and honor my mom’s legacy by not giving up.”
6.) Q: If you could collaborate with any artist, who would that be?
“I’d love to write or collab with Chris Brown, Shaboozey, CoCo Jones, H.E.R., Usher—just to name a few.”
7.) Q: At the end of the day, all artists have something that drives them. What’s your daily motivation?
“At the end of the day, my daily motivation is the promise I made to myself and to my mom to keep going no matter what. Creating music isn’t just a passion; it’s how I survive, how I heal, and how I turn pain into purpose. Every time I write a lyric or step in the studio, I’m honoring the people I’ve lost, the struggles I’ve faced, and the ones who still believe in me. I’m driven by the desire to inspire, to be real, and to show others that even in the darkest moments, you can still find your light.”
8.) Q: When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
“I realized I was going to make music professionally when I stopped using it just as a way to cope and started seeing how it connected with other people. It wasn’t just therapy for me anymore—it became a language that spoke to others who felt unheard. That shift happened when I started performing and people would come up to me after a show or message me saying my music helped them through something. That’s when I knew this was more than a hobby—this is a calling, and I had to take it seriously.”
9.) Q: Any last words for the readers?
“If there’s one thing I want to leave you with, it’s this: life is fragile, and time is precious. After losing my mother this year, I’ve learned that love, purpose, and expression are everything. I pour that into my music and into how I show up for my community. So if you’re going through something—grief, struggle, doubt—don’t hold it in. Turn it into something. Create, speak up, connect. And whatever you do, don’t stop. Your story matters.”
