1.) How would you describe your music?
My music, under the name Adom, is a sincere expression of my deepest emotions and artistic vision. It’s the manifestation of the kind of music I yearn to hear and experience. Each song I create is a labor of love, meticulously crafted to resonate with the very essence of what moves me. I strive to produce music that I would personally have on repeat, immersing myself in its melodies and lyrics.
Ultimately, Adom is more than just music. It’s a journey through my thoughts, feelings, and aspirations. By sharing my music with others, I hope to forge a deep connection, inviting listeners to experience a part of my soul through the art of sound.
2.) Tell us about your latest releases
In “Don’t Give Up,” I demonstrates my growth as a vocalist and my inclination towards a more pop-centric sound. This song is a powerful anthem that encapsulates the theme of perseverance and resilience in the face of challenges. Through poignant lyrics and a captivating melody, I hope to deliver a message of hope and determination.
3.) Describe your creative process
My songwriting process begins with a haunting melody that often visits me around 3 am. It echoes in my mind until I can’t ignore it any longer. I sit down at the piano usually, where I find my initial refuge for working out the notes.
The piano’s keys become my canvas, as I translate the elusive melody into playable notes. I experiment with harmonies and chords, seeking the right emotions to match the melody’s core. When I’m satisfied, I set up my recording equipment to capture the melody in its purest form.
Recording is like freezing a moment in time, capturing the melody’s essence and my emotional connection to it.
This process is a personal journey, a collaboration between my late-night inspiration, and my dedication to authenticity. It’s a dance between creativity and expression, resulting in a song that’s truly mine—a reflection of me.
4.) What do you enjoy most about being an artist?
What I cherish the most about being an artist is the unbridled freedom and unapologetic expression that comes with it. Through my music, I have an outlet that can’t be suppressed or withheld. It’s a profound sense of liberation that allows me to fully embrace my thoughts, emotions, and ideas, and present them to the world in their raw and unfiltered form.
My identity as an artist is inseparable from the act of writing music. It’s woven into the very fabric of who I am. Without the ability to create and share my music, I’m not sure who I would be. It’s as if my soul finds its truest voice through melodies and lyrics. Music becomes the lens through which I explore the complexities of life, love, joy, and pain, and translate them into a language that resonates with others.
This journey of artistic self-discovery is both exhilarating and humbling. I get to excavate the depths of my own emotions, understanding them more intimately as I weave them into songs. And in doing so, I not only connect with myself on a profound level but also connect with others who might find solace, joy, or understanding in my creations.
Through every melody, every lyric, and every performance, I’m able to carve out a space for myself in this world, a space where I’m not confined by societal norms or expectations. I can be exactly who I am, expressing my thoughts and feelings in ways that might not be possible through any other medium.
In essence, being an artist grants me the extraordinary privilege of embracing my true self and sharing it with the world. It’s a constant journey of self-discovery, authenticity, and connection—one that fuels my existence and fills my life with purpose and meaning.
5.) What is your main inspiration?
People and what we all go through. I am inspired by determination, perseverance and passion. It rules me.
6.) What musician do you admire most and why?
I hold great admiration for numerous artists, though I must admit that my deepest respect lies with many of the seasoned musicians like Peter Gabriel. There’s an enduring quality of his essence embedded within much of his music, and that connection profoundly resonates with me. Among the contemporary artists, I genuinely appreciate the work of the Weeknd, Imagine Dragons, and Post Malone. They all share a commitment to crafting remarkable melodies and pushing the boundaries of production.
7.) Peace to you is…
I find my peace when I’m outdoors, especially when I take nighttime walks. I’m not one to stay cooped up at home, unless I’m lost in the studio. There’s something truly special about a good walk – the trees, the animals, the butterflies – they all come together to create a magical experience that’s hard to beat.
8.) What’s next for you in 2023?
Consistently releasing singles and producing accompanying videos is a crucial part of my creative process. As we achieve chart success on platforms like Billboard, I am strategically planning to transition to live performances, engaging directly with my audience in a dynamic and impactful manner.
