- my name is Newport Savy and I’m from Newport News, Virginia
Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?
- my album Demons & Angels 2 was inspired by my own trials & tribulations and the title Demons & Angels was just the best way for me to describe what I was going through and currently am going through.
What is unique about you and your music?
- what’s makes me and my music unique is that every line there is a story or memory behind my lyrics I really put thought into my music and real life experiences.
What shaped your music?
- what really shaped my music was me studying my own craft for years and testing new melodies until I felt I found my sound.
When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
- it actually just happened naturally, I always wanted to be an artist and take my craft seriously even when I wasn’t consistent, but as time went on I grew with it.
What type of music do you listen to?
- I listen to Hiphop, trap, drill, RnB and melodic rap
What inspires you to write music?
- I actually don’t write my music anymore I just go record off the top of my head. Whenever I’m going through something I get inspired to go create.
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
- I like to work out, shop for clothes, smoke sometimes and eat

- happiness to me is enjoying my own company and being at peace with myself
What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?
- wish I was told that being a artist is being a business and you gotta invest in yourself to grow, it’s not all about talent.

- I recently just dropped Demons & Angels 2 so I’m currently working on a lot of music videos and possibly working on an EP for the summer.
