What inspired you to start making music?
Growing up listening to my parents and aunt playing different records around the house did something to me. I remember putting paper in cassette tapes so I could record myself and play it back to see how it sounded. I come from a very musical family with backgrounds in Gospel & Rap.
Describe your creative process when you write new music.
I listen to different types of beats and see what resonates with the mood I’m in. Depending on how I’m feeling is how the subject matter comes about. Rather it’s uplifting, telling my story, or getting emotions and thoughts out.
What strengths do you have that you believe make you a great artist?
The way how I hear and interpret sound, my approach to anything that I’m working on. I can touch different aspects that mostly anybody can relate to, no matter what they’re into or where they’re at or going through in life.
Who’s your ideal artist you’d like to collaborate with and why?
Any artist that I can share a connection with. I’m an artist’s, artist so I respect and have love for every artist. I know and understand it’s not an easy process, so I salute everybody doing their thing handling their business.
Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of music?
I like to read, travel, and spend time with my family and loved ones. I’m also into fashion and I’m always opened to learning new things. Politics and business are some of the other things that grabs my attention. Just overall working on becoming the greatest I am I can possibly be.
Describe your favorite and least favorite part of being an artist:
My favorite part of being an artist is being able to speak my mind and use my voice to bring awareness to things, as well as motivating and giving inspiration. Being a vessel to lift people up and give them hope and something they can believe in and be a part of. I’ll have to say my least favorite part is coming across people attempting to steal your peace, happiness, and joy. Can’t forget the scammers. You got to stay sharp in this business.
What accomplishments do you see yourself achieving in the next five to 10 years?
I see myself being in a better position to be able to help my people and give them opportunities. To help change lives, start some reforms, give back to the culture and helping build stronger generations of great thinkers, innovators, and leaders also bridging the gap in fighting inequalities. Lord willing, having a world renowned, respected, trusted, honored & loved name while building one of the most powerful empires.
Do you have any upcoming releases and where can people find your music?
Well, I have a duology in rotation that consist of 2 singles released late last year titled Transitions and We Here Now, that’s off the album My GOD, Myself & I. In GOD I Trust. We’re gearing up to release the next installment called My GOD, Myself, My Family & I. In GOD We Trust with the first single coming out Tuesday February 22, 2022, called Together. All these songs can be found on your favorite streaming platform if not then request it and turn them onto some great music.
