Drake turned Gordo’s Toronto Taraka set into a hometown moment, stepping onstage in the Port Lands to support his longtime collaborator and perform for the crowd.

Drake made an unannounced appearance during Gordo’s headlining Taraka set in Toronto on Sunday, September 6. The hometown star joined Gordo onstage at the Port Lands event, adding another surprise Toronto appearance to his recent run.

According to Complex, Drake used the moment to salute his frequent collaborator before performing his 2010 hit “Over.” A separate report from The Music Universe said the appearance also included “Hoe Phase” and “Janice STFU,” with Drake addressing the audience and congratulating Gordo on what he called “a very bright future.”

The appearance carried extra weight because of Drake and Gordo’s extensive studio history. Gordo has been a key figure in Drake’s dance-oriented material, including work on Honestly, Nevermind and several songs from 2026’s Maid of Honour, making the Taraka cameo a natural extension of their creative partnership.

Drake’s latest Toronto pop-up comes less than a week after he surprised Don Toliver at Scotiabank Arena. During that appearance, Drake performed songs from Iceman live for the first time, including “Shabang,” “Burning Bridges” and “Janice STFU.”

The timing also keeps attention on Drake’s next move. The rapper has been teasing Fear of Missing Out, or FOMO, and Complex reports that a YouTube livestream connected to the rollout is scheduled for September 15, while the exact nature of the project has not yet been formally confirmed.

For now, Drake’s surprise appearance during Gordo’s Toronto set gives the pair another public moment together while speculation around FOMO continues. The cameo also keeps Drake visibly active in his home city after his recent Don Toliver guest spot and a busy 2026 release cycle.
