Rico Nasty joined Doja Cat’s hometown celebration for a familiar collaboration before the concert reaches Amazon Music Live viewers next week.
The Doja Cat and Rico Nasty reunion brought “Tia Tamera” back to the stage at the Kia Forum in Inglewood on October 22. Doja welcomed Rico during the hometown stop of her Tour Ma Vie World Tour, turning the birthday celebration into a live return to their 2019 collaboration.
AllHipHop reported that Amazon Music confirmed the appearance on October 23 and shared a preview through its official YouTube account. The performance was part of the Forum concert itself, while the television and streaming presentation is still ahead. Doja’s Amazon Music Live episode is scheduled for October 29, following Thursday Night Football.
“Tia Tamera” arrived in February 2019 during the rollout of the deluxe edition of Amala. Its Roxana Baldovin-directed video placed the two rappers in a colorful setting inspired by “Sister, Sister” and “Double Dare.” The track therefore carries a specific place in Doja’s early catalog, rather than being a new collaboration unveiled at the Forum.
Rico has previously described the recording as an uncomplicated creative connection. In a 2022 Glamour interview, she recalled following the cadence of Doja’s verse without overthinking the feature and enjoying the video shoot. She also discussed the significance of being invited into Doja’s Coachella set that year, saying it felt special to be chosen after watching her collaborator reach a much larger audience.
Amazon announced the Forum broadcast in September as the closing installment of Amazon Music Live’s fifth season. The four-episode run also featured Noah Kahan, Don Toliver and Lainey Wilson, taking viewers to concerts captured on the road rather than presenting every artist from one fixed venue. Doja’s episode brings that format to her Los Angeles-area homecoming, with Amazon Music, Prime Video and Twitch among the announced viewing platforms.
In Amazon’s announcement, Doja emphasized that she would be playing the Forum the day after her birthday and wanted fans at home to experience the show closely. That original announcement promised surprises without naming Rico, making the newly confirmed guest appearance a specific reason to revisit the concert when it airs. For viewers who were not in the arena, October 29 is the announced broadcast date, not the date the two rappers first took the stage together.
