DBANDZ KC is an underground rapper from Kansas City, Kansas, who has proven to be consistent and dedicated to his artistry. He has admitted to making mediocre music in his early years, but found his sound and niche during his development. Being part of rap collectives, performing at venues, and making industry connections have shaped who DBANDZ is today. His skill set of rapping, producing, and engineering has allowed him to build a large discography since 2017.
DBANDZ teams up with BabyTron’s producer, Kid Babs, on a new single “Ja Morant” to pay homage to the Memphis Grizzlies star. Ja Morant’s play style and heart to the game resonates a lot with DBANDZ, and inspired him to make this song because of that pure ambition. He says, “You see Ja try to dunk on someone who’s a foot taller them. That’s me. No matter how big the competition is, I’m still going to shoot that shot.”
With a visual cover art designed by Instagram blogger @2k_overalls, DBANDZ also added a layer to the song with a music video shot by videographer, Noah Films, which is available to watch on YouTube.
