Chrone Heart, a name that resonates with artistic versatility, hails from Columbus, Ohio, where his creative roots were first planted. Before diving into the world of music, Chrone Heart aspired to be an illustrator. His natural talent for art was evident from a young age, as he honed his skills with a pencil, dreaming of sharing his creations with the world. However, alongside his passion for illustration, there was always a deep-seated love for music.
His musical journey began at the tender age of 10 when he first experimented with the piano. By 11, Chrone Heart was already crafting his own songs, and by 13, he had the thrill of performing on stage at Arts Impact Middle School. A pivotal moment came when his uncle introduced him to Fruity Loops 3 in 2001. The young artist quickly immersed himself in the world of music production, mastering the software and creating samples. However, as high school approached, Chrone Heart shifted focus back to his first love—illustration. He graduated from Eastmoor Academy High School in 2007 and earned a scholarship to the prestigious Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD). Unfortunately, due to family circumstances, he was unable to attend.
Despite this setback, Chrone Heart never completely abandoned music. He dabbled in tech for a few years but eventually found his way back to music around 2008. After a brief hiatus from 2015 to 2018, Chrone Heart returned with a renewed passion, ready to take his musical journey more seriously than ever before.
Inspired by legendary artists like Kanye West, Led Zeppelin, Common, Prince, Nas, and A Tribe Called Quest, Chrone Heart’s music spans a variety of genres, including old-school hip-hop, pop, EDM, jazz, classic hip-hop, and rock. He is a multi-instrumentalist, proficient in piano, with a basic knowledge of guitar and drums.
Today, Chrone Heart balances his roles as a dedicated father and husband with his burgeoning music career. His most memorable moment so far? Nearly securing a deal with Interscope Records—a testament to the potential he possesses.
Looking ahead, Chrone Heart is focused on several exciting projects. He has four major projects in the works, with three set to be released by the end of the year, alongside six new EDM tracks designed for gaming that will drop unexpectedly. Among his upcoming releases are “Wicked Feelings,” dropping on August 16th, and “Pressessive,” set for October 12th, 2024. Another highly anticipated release is “Alum Creek Hell Side,” scheduled for September 29th, though it hinges on sample clearance.
As he works tirelessly on his debut album, which he hopes to release in late 2024 or early 2025, Chrone Heart continues to evolve as an artist, drawing from his rich history in both the visual and musical arts. His journey, marked by resilience and a relentless pursuit of creativity, is a testament to the power of following one’s passions, no matter where they may lead.
