Emilson Joseph, professionally known as, Ching America is a filmmaker based in the New England area. Originally from Haiti but raised in various cities such as Massachussetts, Cambridge, Malden, and Lynn – Ching America’s goal is to inspire audiences through his filmmaking work.
Currently, his latest project is called “Playing Both Sides” Season 2.
“This project is inspired by the streets and how people you love and trust play both sides of the fence,” Ching America says.
The first episode, which is called “Ghost of Seven,” showcases Ching’s filmmaking style and his storytelling abilities. The project goes into detail about close friends and some family members betraying each other for different reasons and ultimately destroying solid foundations.
In addition to this piece of work, he also currently has two films in the process called ‘Stay Focused 2’ and ‘Relationships Goals 2.’ He expanded on some of his other projects he’s working on.
“I also have ‘Grimy Season 3,’ ‘Ganja Boy,’ and many more that are being worked on,” he said. “Check out my 4 films on Tubi TV called ‘Outta Town,’ ‘Dirty Spring,’ ‘Pistol Wavin’ New Haven,’ and ‘American Hood Story.’
In addition to having his completed films on Tubi TV, he also has over 10 finished projects on his YouTube channel. Ching America has an impressive resume thus far. It’s no wonder he’s inspired by people such as Spike Lee, John Singleton, Ice Cube, 50 Cent, Tyler Perry, Ben Affleck, and more.
As far as what he wants his audience to take away from the messages in his films, Ching America says:
“I want my films to give hope, inspiration, and motivation,” he says. “The message I hope the fans take away from my films is that life’s short and real so don’t play with your time.”
