Straight out of Lansing, Michigan, rising artist Caviarr is proving that persistence, passion, and purpose can take you far in the music industry. Known on Instagram as @caviarrofficial, he has been carving out his sound since 2008, when he first began experimenting with beats in his bedroom after school and sports practice. By 2015, he had started recording vocals and truly began shaping the style that defines him today.
For Caviarr, music is about more than creativity. It is about family. “I didn’t grow up with money, so I’ve always wanted to get my family nice houses and nice things,” he explains. That drive to provide for his loved ones has been his biggest inspiration since day one.
Blending Hip Hop, RnB, and Rap, Caviarr brings versatility to his craft. He taught himself how to read music and play keyboard at a young age, and he can even hold down a drum set when needed. His ability to sing, rap, and write his own music makes him a well rounded artist with a unique perspective.
Musically, he draws from a wide range of influences, particularly 90s hip hop icons like Wu Tang, Big L, Nas, and OutKast. He also credits Kanye West’s College Dropout for sparking his early interest in beat making. Alongside American and Canadian RnB singers, these inspirations have helped shape his diverse sound and vocal style.
Caviarr is no stranger to the grind. He has been making music for years, but only started taking it seriously around six years ago. Since then, he has built a growing fan base, generating impressive numbers across streaming platforms. “The journey has been fun and I love it. I love my fans and support so far and more to come. Don’t plan on stopping anytime soon,” he says.
His catalog already includes the 2019 EP SOWAY, which features the track “TEXT,” produced by Caviarr himself. Looking back, one of his proudest career moments remains his very first live performance, a milestone that confirmed his love for the stage.
Right now, Caviarr is keeping his momentum alive with an upcoming album and several new singles in the works. Everything is being produced by one collaborator, with the possibility of a major feature in the mix. And while fans can expect even more heat on the way, they do not have to wait long to hear fresh music. Caviarr has already released three new singles, marking another exciting chapter in his journey.
