Cash Hardaway isn’t just another name coming out of Tulsa, Oklahoma—he’s proof that persistence, creativity, and vision can take you further than anyone expects. His story starts in high school, where music wasn’t just a hobby, but a calling. “I began my career as a rap artist when I was in high school,” Cash says. “So being a creator has been a major part of my life for a long time.”
But like any true artist, Cash’s journey didn’t always follow the obvious path. When his time in the spotlight as an artist started to fade, he didn’t leave music behind—he just moved to the other side of the industry. “After being an artist took a backseat in my life, I began getting involved in the ‘behind the scenes’ sector of the music business.” It’s a move that shows his flexibility and his hunger to keep building, no matter what role he’s in.
What really sets Cash apart is his perspective. Tulsa isn’t known for churning out major music moguls, but Cash has never let surroundings or setbacks define him. “My unique outlook on life is what separates me from others. My ability to see past the present and persevere through difficult circumstances is how I’ve gotten to where I am today.” It’s the kind of attitude that turns obstacles into stepping stones.
Still, no matter how deep he gets into the business side, music is always at the core. “I love making music. It’ll always be my first love. It’s my favorite part of the creative process in this business.” Even as he helps other artists shine, that original spark keeps the whole operation fueled.
Right now, Cash is working closely with his partner, Dom Williams, to take their 1921 Music Group brand to the next level. “We’re working diligently to expand the 1921 Music Group brand to become a household name. Whether we do it independently or through a major label partnership is yet to be determined.” That drive for growth is about more than just business—it’s about leaving a mark and building something that lasts.
The next big chapter? “We are currently preparing to start production on our project, ‘Fashionably Late’. It will feature music from artists from all over the country while highlighting artists under our 1921 Music Group umbrella.” It’s an ambitious project, but the kind of thing that feels right at home for someone who’s always looking ahead.
