Hard work is hard work, no matter where you’re from or who you are, and CammyP knows that. He’s not from the big city — in fact, he’s from a small town in Western Massachusetts — and he doesn’t name any big artists as his influences; rather, he cites his family and friends as his top inspirations.
What he does know, though, is that he needs to get out of his comfort zone to achieve his dreams, but doing so isn’t always easy.
“The last thing I want to do is sit back in my rocking chair when I’m 65 and say ‘Why didn’t I go for it?’” CammyP said. “At 25, I’m in constant battle with the ideation of going against the norm and shooting for what I actually want to do even if it means losing things or people around me.”
Good news for listeners, CammyP confirmed that his constantly evolving sound is not going anywhere. He will continue to remain as he always is: ever-changing
“My next moves are really towards…trying new things…nothing happens if you keep following the same patterns,” he said. “As a creative person, my biggest passion will always be music but there are so many creative outlets I want to dive into.”
Said creative outlets include designing a clothing line and shooting a short film, which goes to show you that CammyP is not here to play around, despite admitting to not really knowing what he’s doing.
“All in all, I think I’m just like every other kid out there,” CammyP said. “I have a dream and I want to follow it…I don’t have a roadmap or guide, a mentor or any blueprint to follow.”
“I have blind faith in the fact that as long as I keep chipping away at my goals day by day, something is bound to change,” he continued. “Whether that be a success or a lesson, only time will tell, but I’m willing to walk every path until I find the one that’s meant for me.”
