Home to Gary, Indiana, Butta The Preacher is an aspiring and independent Christian HipHop artist. Inspired at a young age by hometown icon and singer Michael Jackson, many other children had wanted to become an artist because of him. Butta The Preacher likes to call his music sermons on beats and they are inspired by the word of God and real life experiences. He shares his testimony of being shot 9 times, left for dead, and ran over by a drunk driver that lead him to have reconstructive surgery on his face. Butta is a living miracle that pours it out into his music.
Since his debut in music, Butta The Preacher has been awarded 3 times the kingdom image award, as gospel rapper of the year, music choice awards gospel artist of the year, and much more. Although he’s accomplished a lot, he’s faced personal challenges effecting his music like having to cope with the death of his two little brothers killed my gun violence. With each song, Butta puts his all into them, and keeps on moving forward.
Butta The Preacher hopes for a great future, one where he saves a million souls rather than selling a million records. He sees himself growing as one of the faces in Christian HipHop and building a bridge between the streets and the church. Being a rapping preacher is rare, but Butta is doing it and doing it well from new releases, to a huge inspiration.
