The Last Dance ventures through the stages of a break up and unlocks a vivid and vibrant sonic escape projected in widescreen across 10 tracks. Accompanied by a string of cinematic visuals directed by The Reggies (Dillon Francis, Yung Gravy, Zac Brown, JT), and starring mega-popular comedians Jordan Rock and Jordan Howlett (better knows as “Jordan The Stallion” by his millions of followers). Watch the story unfold HERE.
Among many standouts, the focus track “Sober” was notably co-written with his parents and produced by Anoop D’souza [SYD, Sailorr, Destin Conrad]. Between hypnotic synths and jazzy saxophone, the vocals find him traveling through a dream-like state as he encounters his soulmate. Stricken with the onset of romance, the energy overflows as he acknowledges, “Darling I know we just met.” Watch the accompanying visualizer HERE. Meanwhile, a buoyant dancehall groove illuminates “Lights” as a head-nodding beat brushes up against his melodic vocals. It culminates on the chant-able chorus, “Baby turn the lights down low.” Elsewhere, hi-hats shake over a funky bassline during “Tonight,” building towards a skyscraper-size hook. Then, there’s “Moonlight,” a jazzy soundscape that perfectly complements a poignant exploration of existential love. Check out the full track listing below.
He set the stage for The Last Dance with “Hola Mami.” Beyond gaining traction among fans, it received early plugs from Spotify playlists, including R&B Weekly, This Is Frequency, and more.
Earlier this year, he made waves with “Distant Lover Pt. II” and “Distant Lover” which has garnered over one million plays across streaming platforms. In the wake of the latter, WONDERLAND christened bLAck pARty, “an innovative artist blending psychedelia, funk, R&B, reggae, soul, gospel, rock, and country.” NOTION raved it, “signals the beginning of a fresh sonic chapter: lush, psychedelic, and unmistakably his.” Earmilk praised it as a “vibrant new banger,” affirming, “bLAck pARty is further making a name for himself.”
bLAck pARty’s North American headline run, “Late To The Party” Tour, launched earlier this summer. The tour will hit major markets across the United States and Canada in between performances at major festivals such as Wonderfront, Governors Ball, and Lollapalooza.
