Majur Deveaux, a vibrant and resilient artist from the Bahamas, is capturing hearts in the music industry. With her unique talent and charisma, Majur is making waves on and off the stage.
Majur’s musical journey started at 16 in a Seattle community center studio. After moving from the Bahamas at eight, she found stability and solace in music, performing first at Seattle Center in a spontaneous collaboration.
Majur is not just a singer-songwriter; she’s also a performer, emcee, and podcast host, lighting up venues in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Her mantra, “Never give up. Never stop creating,” resonates in her music and life.
Being a mother in the music industry has been both challenging and inspirational. Majur proudly shares her biggest accomplishment: finding her birth father on the Steve Harvey Show. The tragic loss of her sister to gun violence last year deeply influences her music and mission.
Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu are among Majur’s biggest musical inspirations. She dreams of collaborating with Pharrell. In the studio, she works with a talented team, including Mani Strings and Mad KD, creating heartfelt and impactful music.
Signed with Senders Music Group, Majur is working on her second EP, set to release at the end of the summer. Her ultimate goal is to win a Grammy and buy a farm for her chickens.
