Subsequent to live appearances at Anime Festivals in 2022, such as Anime Festival Orlando and Metrocon, Azazus continues to grow in notability and online streams. In late August, a post was published to Instagram by Azazus announcing that he had exceeded over 500,000 youtube plays. He garnered a lot of Youtube attention during the summer of 2020 when he released his single “Onlyfans”.
Produced by Red Jon, the song contributed to a lot of the rapper’s success on the Youtube platform and TikTok app. In total, the song supplied 100,000 of the half a million Youtube plays milestone. Prior to the announcement, Azazus released a new Dance/EDM single titled “Sponsored Girl” as an audio & music video release to the video sharing platform. “Sponsored Girl” is a retitled alternate version to the popular release “Onlyfans”.
Following the week after his big Youtube announcement, Azazus shared with fans that his Soundcloud page had reached 60,000 streams. Many of the artist’s plays on the platform appear to favor his remix/cover tracks of other popular artists – trailed by his original music.
Azazus posted a reel/TikTok to social media on August 30th announcing his song “Rainy Days Won’t Last” (featuring Edgar Brann and produced by Rudenote) was picking up traction online. In less than 24hrs the song had been used in 150+ videos by content creators in the TikTok app, totaling the TikTok streams of the song to 14,000+.
