While the Bay Area has always been the main attraction for hip hop and rap music in northern California, Sacramento rappers have been holding their own for some time now. Some can say California’s captial city always had the number one music scene of northern California, a rap scene that dates back to the 1990s, if not earlier, and has exploded throughout the 2010s and 2020s with the help from numerous mainstream rappers from Sacramento.
Rappers from Sacramento like Brotha Lynch Hung, C-Bo, T-Nutty, Hollow Tip and a few others are the pioneers that laid the original groundwork for the city’s hip hop scene and were some of the first to put the city on the map, as well as Northern California, during a time where all eyes were on Los Angeles’ gangster rap scene. While there are many similarities to the Bay Area, as well the two regions have deep ties with one another, Sacramento has its own identity that distinguish itself from other California cities and metropolitan areas.

He began his buzz with his single “Had To” dropped in April 2020. The talented up coming artist is only 23 years old and is yet to show what he is capable of.

The underground artist is a relatively newcomer to the industry. Nobody knew who he was even a year ago. But now he’s on everyone’s mind. People are talking about him and his music everywhere. He is finally receiving the credit he deserves for his talent and craft.
