If you haven’t heard of her by now, Sammie B is a Hudson Valley, NY based artist really beginning to make waves in the music world. She is not only a rapper/singer songwriter, but she also produces, DJ’s and creates visual art. In her last major project, “The Joy Is In The Journey” Sammie B delivers lyricism in such a passionate way that it sparked the interest of many. In that two part album, she expresses her pain and darkest struggles as well as emitting the light that comes with the energy of overcoming.
She is known for her tagline “Brliing” which can be heard in just about every song of hers released within the past few years. While on stage, the positivity, confidence and playfulness that she displays is the reason her fans are endlessly attracted. Over the summer of 2021, she and another artist (Wavy Wildboy) collaborated on a single “Live For” and dropped a music video along with it which grew her fanbase even further.
LLPE Music rated “Live For” as the #1 Hottest Record of the Summer and also described Sammie B as “one of the most versatile artists ever.” Her most recent music video “Overdosed” (which dropped 6 months ago) pulled people in even closer, as she showed off her past despair in the sexiest, most captivating way. Fans have been wondering when Sammie B is going to release another song, EP, or video and we now have the answer!
Sammie B is spreading her wings full-span with this next EP titled “Elevated” dropping 6/10/22. She painted the cover art for this EP and says she plans on painting all of her cover art from now on. In an interview with Sammie B she said, “Why not fully utilize myself in all forms of creativity possible? Being creative is my most fulfilling form of freedom, joy, and serenity. Everything I do is made with my heart and soul.”
This “Elevated” project is the reflection of an elevated mindset and ambitious energy. Within these four songs, Sammie B expresses her dedication to making it as an artist and her passion for living out her dreams. The mood, overall, is hopeful and empowering. Throughout the EP one may bob their head to the lyrics, bounce to the beat, and sway to the dreaminess of the frequencies.
The genre can be considered to fall under alternative/hip-hop/rap/soul. We got word that she will be dropping an entire “Elevated” merch collection which will be available for sale at her shows and on her website at sammiebcreative.com It’s safe to say as much of a powerful and driven artist she is, that she’s only in the early stages of what’s to come. Only time will tell, but we believe Sammie B is about to take her music career to a whole new level and we are loving that for her.
