Akeem X Chilla has been studying the art of hip hop and the music business under his Mentor Kino Childrey since the early 2000s when Akeem and his High School point guard Eddie Kane started forming the foundations for LivNWealthy Entertainment.
The pre stages of the label were set before the group separated and went in different directions for a few years with Akeem enlisting in the Air Force then moving to Brooklyn, NYC and with Eddie Kane and AL Khufu staying in Detroit to work on sound and direction out of Heaven Studios.
All the members of LivNWealthy Entertainment still remain active and have plans to drop music this year. AL Khufu dropped “…It’s Alive” on March 3, 2022.
Akeem X started The Legion with 3 fellow U.S. Air Force airmen in 2006. The Legion have been a force on the streets and behind the music industry scenes for a few years now. The Legion continued building a team of artists, battle rappers, music executives and professionals, fighters, fans, and supporters from small towns to major markets.
‘Creature II,’ ‘The Legion Manga,’ and ‘Black Liquid’ will be the next projects released from the team. Black Liquid is Executive Produced by longtime collaborator and Detroit-producer, Brian Jones who worked with Royce da 5’9,”Eminem and many others. Together they have a Run The Jewels-esque producer/MC project releasing this summer as well as solo follow ups for Akeem’s 2015 DatPiff exclusive “CREATURE,” and a 4-part compilation series from Akeem X and The Legion.
