Truepound dropped his new single “Psycho” on June 17th. This song reflects on a true story with a video following along and also developing into a screen write-up for a movie “One mic” starring Sticky Fingaz, Fredro Starr, Corley White & Joshfromync. Truepound uses music as an outlet for his emotions, to inspire, and to bring people together. ‘Psycho’ lets him do so with slick RnB beats, silky smooth vocals, as well as a marriage of appealing melodies to really give the audience that extra-terrestrial feeling. This new and exciting Hip-Hop and R&B will make you feel like you’re floating out of this realm. This is Truepound’s way of giving back to the world.
The inspiration behind “Psycho” comes from his personal experience. Earlier this year an incident occurred at one of his children’s mother’s house where he had to save his sons from their mother stabbing them. If Truepound wasn’t there to risk his own life, it could’ve been a massacre of his four children. This tragic incident inspired him to therapeutically write this song, which was his only way to express himself and reach the world. “Psycho” is about mental awareness and also a reminder to always love your children and to be their hero no matter what situation you are in.
Truepound was put on this planet to make inspirational music; he was raised in Pittsburgh and has spent his entire life surrounded by good music. He grew up singing and dancing, and this early musical exposure has helped him find his way in life. Music became the language of his soul, the language that he felt the closest to, the language that expressed the things he most wanted to say, the language that made him feel the most alive. Over the last few years, we have seen the rise of Truepound and his music, but this single is special because it is a reflection of Truepound’s real character.
