IZI E was born Ian Zefre Isreal in Sandy Spring, Maryland. IZI E has had a natural inclination for music his entire life. He first fell in love with music when hearing the music his mother would play in the car and around the house. He loved the energy a song could bring into him and started singing at his church throughout his childhood.
He also started learning to play instruments at a young age to have as much musical knowledge as possible. IZI E is motivated by his upbringing as he lived in poverty as a child and had to watch his mother to make ends meet. He uses music not only as a therapy but also as a means of providing for his family, so his mother no longer has to struggle.
IZI E is currently an independent artist and is in the process of growing his own Empire to help other independent artists that are struggling to be heard. He wants to be able to give other artists a chance at doing what they love and get compensated for their hard work. IZI E has the skills to produce his own music but always welcomes ideas and new ways of thinking into his creative process, so he calls upon a few producers to provide this input.
IZI E is musically inspired by Michael Jackson, Brian Mcnight, and Drake because they have shaped the way he views creating music. IZI E recently released his first album “Thoughts to Myself” which is about being able to reinvent his style and be able to show his versatility as an independent artist. He has much more to come that will be worth the wait.
