2022 is already producing a number of break out artists in hip hop. One of these artists is DMV’s own Lp Marcy; aka Mr. LivinProof. Originally from Salisbury, MD. Known to most as the Eastern Shore, Lp Marcy has had the region in a “frenzy”!
The name “Lp” originally comes from “LoudPacc”, to which was a childhood nickname for LP. These initials also stand for “LivinProof”. This represents a lot dealing with life and everythin within! Experiences, adversity, etc. LP says he’s “Living Proof” of all that.
LP started making music in 2015 while incarcerated. Ironically he got fired from “Work Release” the same day. According to LP “I really didn’t have much to do but workout and read so I took a chance with writing. I use to write poems growing up so I combined the two wit real life experiences and became (“Livin Proof”)”. This hobby turned into a career after seeing the immense amount of talent he had. His peers were the first to notice. In 2021, LP dropped his hit single “Cheap” featuring Lor Roc. This song has a fresh sound with treacherous bars!
LP has a lot planned for 2022, and I’m excited to see it happen! He has already announced a project titled “Done Talkin”. When asked for a release date he responded with “very soon, so be ready”. I’m confident that LP Marcy will have a huge year this year! Follow LP on Instagram at @Lp_marcy.
