The rapper’s Black Punk Music imprint is central to the new partnership and its first single.
Molly Santana has opened her Epic Records chapter with “A Girl Is a Gun,” released November 6 through a partnership involving her Black Punk Music imprint.
The arrangement brings Santana to Epic as an artist while retaining Black Punk Music as the banner for her work. It places the imprint at the center of the new relationship rather than leaving it behind.
The streaming release credits confirm Epic’s involvement, identifying Sony Music Entertainment’s label under exclusive license from Black Punk.
As AllHipHop reports, Santana has described Black Punk Music as a platform for pushing her creativity beyond music. Epic chairman and CEO Ezekiel Lewis also voiced support for her artistic direction.
The signing follows her appearance alongside Drake and Future on “Ran to Atlanta,” which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Earlier solo releases this year included “Live Your Life” and “Can’t Touch This.”
Santana released Molly & Her Week of Wonders in 2025. The new single now gives listeners the first release from the next phase of her recording career.
