The Jamaican artist’s new eight-track project brings dancehall, Afrobeats and American rap collaborators into a compact release.
Shenseea has released CATALYST, an eight-track EP that arrived November 6. The 21-minute project is issued through Columbia Records and Since ’93 under license from Shenyeng Inc.
Vybz Kartel joins her on “Talk To Me Nuh,” reconnecting the pair after their earlier collaboration “Loodi.” The new project also features Asake on “Playtime” and Loe Shimmy on “Private.”
Those three collaborations leave five tracks focused on Shenseea alone. The remaining titles are “Vulnerability,” “Danger,” “Garden,” “Body Language” and “2 Face Gyal,” giving the EP a concise structure around its guest appearances.
DancehallMag reports that “Vulnerability” preceded the project in September, while “Garden” appeared in pre-release teasers. The Rvssian-produced “Talk To Me Nuh” had also surfaced earlier in the year.
CATALYST follows Never Gets Late Here, the sophomore album released in May 2024. That album earned a Best Reggae Album nomination at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
The new EP brings the Kartel reunion together with collaborators from Nigeria and the United States. Its short running time places those exchanges within one focused set rather than a lengthy collection of features.
